Christi's guarding nature has come out

She's barking at some strange sound from next door. I am glad that I got to experience all this before I hand her over to the Marquina Family.

I think this is the right thing to do to buy them a new dog. Theoretically, I am only responsible for Jorge, since la Baby was his dog. But since the situation got complicated and he lived with his parents, so la Baby became a family dog. I am sure that it's a lot for his mom to swallow for now.

I am trying to be responsible!!!!

I have no idea how to get rid of the ticks or fleas or whatever Christi has. It seems that she just can't help but scratching herself.

Went to visit Jorge, and as usual the result was quite fruitless. We didn't get to practice getting through the puppy door.

Why is it that Picasa does not support hot link?

It took me over a week to figure out why the pics won't show up in my ad on craigslist. I thoguht it was a connection or server problem on craigslist side, as the preview was quite okay.

Potty training almost completed

Well, I think it is pretty much completed as I saw Christi storm out of the door to the yard outside to eliminate. How did she know that? Maybe it is because I scolded her and put her in the playpen immediately after I caught her pooping on the floor. It was kind of my fault, too, as I did not leave the screen door open for her to go out. Maybe she knew already that she needed to go outside to poop.

She can control her bladder better and better now. I can put her in the kennel all night without having to get up in the middle of the night to let her urinate. I remember leaving the bathroom door open to let her relieve herself. Well, those days were gone. Based on the AKC paper that Jamie Perkins (Big, big liar, by the way) provided, Chrisiti is 14 weeks old now. She will be 4 months old by 4-8-09 and she will not have any problem holding it all night until the morning.

To shrink photos - to reduce the size of the photo

well, I used craigslist's ad-posting portal and powerpoint to do so.

Craigslist, fisrt, I can import the fotos using the functions there and later right click to save the photos to desktop. It quickly shrink the photo size from 1.22mb to 6kb, as shown here. These are about 300 x 225. So, any regular-sized photos that I took using my old camera can be reduced to this size simply using this method. This is another surprise find.

With Powerpoint, I used the camara icon to import the photos, then right clicked on the imported image there to "save picture as". This way, it shrinks the photo size from 1.22mb to about 120kb.

To further shrink the size to 281x211 pixels, I used Irfanview. However, the size is about 64kb, instead of 6kb. Well, they are igually small to me now. So, I am happy now.

I was able to use the HTML table functions to make before-after table for the ad. I simply used the img src= command to retrieve the photos that are hosted at Picasa, which is a Google-owned company.

I realize that I can't live without Google. I haven't used Microsoft for internet purpose much now. But I have self-taught Access and I find it very, very useful.

craigslist & html

I just learned how to link the foto without upload it to the portal once again. Now I know that I can upload as many fotos as possible. Well, it is only a hyper link, I don't really upload any fotos to craigslist. Yes. I think I am quick in learning everything.

I am going to post another Christi photo here. The foto I just uploaded here (to the left) was automatically saved to my google account. (A surprise find! I thought I have to creat another account to host my photos.) And I can retrieve it or put a hyper link to the photo and it will show up on the craigslist ad.

Otro Domingo y aún ando sin trabajo

Si... ¿cómo ves? Ya he pasado otra semana sin chamba. La verdad es que no hay trabajo en cualquier lado. Estoy también pensando en mis estrategias para lograr un trabajao.

Creo que no hay nada que puedo hacer. todos los solicitudes que mandé a las compañías y agencias eran en vano. Tengo mas ventajes con las llamadas de los agentes de empleo. Solo tengo que esperar hasta que me llame alguien. Puede ser Lorenzo Salhi o Ian Lopez o Samual Merchants, etc, etc.

Estoy mas y mas acostumbrado a la perrita. todavía no me gusta. La vida es loca. quién traía mala suerte a quién. Yo creo que era Jorge a mi. No me siento libre como la señora quien me dijo que no se sentía bien. Yo tampoco me siento bien. La causa fue la mala salud de Jorge. y ya nadie puede hacer nada con esto. Lo que pasó, pasó.

Christi went for a short trimming

And I had a hard time finidng this library - south san francisco library. I hung out at downtown S. SF and I finally called Gray to get directions. South SF has a strange downtown where there is no drugstores, e.g. Walgreen's, there is no post office and there is no library. I have a few errands to run as well. Need to find a hand-held vacuum cleaner for the corners in the apt. Need to get my check at Alex's hosue.

The lady at Bark N Bubbles told me that it wouldn't be until she's 8-months old that she can get a full groom. I did mention to her that Christi might have some ticks as she had been scratching a lot. So, she said she would look into that.

Gray is gettin ready to move to Virginia on March 18th, which is only 12 days from now. At least, they will be here for another 2 weekends, although i don't know what to do with them. Such is life.

Christi slept all night in kennel

I tried it and it worked. Last night I kept Christi in her kennel all night and she did not make any accident in the kennel. At lesat I think.
But immediately after breakfast, she made another go.

I noticed that she started humping last week. At the age of 11 weeks, according to the paper I received from Jamie. (Yes, after a week of struggle and she still lied about the medical records.) This has been such a painful experience.) That means she's trying to show her dominance. She wouldn't budge when we went out to walk. That was a good sign that she has been very domineering since young. I saw her nibbing the neck of the other puppy at Jamie's house and it was kind of shocking.

$100 for 5 of us. That's an expensive lunch, isn't it? I was beyond angry with Gray and Yushen for being late for 1 1/2 hours. Well, Joey said they could do whatever they wanted because they were leaving for Virginia. Life is very cruel. I don't want them to go, but it is tough for everyone right now.
